Dear Families,
I hope this letter finds you well. As we continue to nurture the creative minds of our high school students, we are reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity to support our arts program. We are launching a fundraiser to acquire a new kiln for our growing ceramics department. We need to raise $20,000.
At McCallum, we take immense pride in providing a comprehensive education that fosters creativity and innovation. One cornerstone of our arts curriculum is our ceramics classes, where students explore the boundless possibilities of clay as a medium for self-expression and artistic exploration. However, we find ourselves facing a challenge. Our current kiln, though well-loved and diligently maintained, is limited in capacity. With the increasing demand for ceramics classes and the addition of new art courses, such as sculpture, our workload has outgrown the capabilities of our existing equipment.
To address this issue and ensure that every student has the opportunity to engage fully in their artistic endeavors, we are launching a Giving Tree to acquire a new kiln. This addition of a larger and more efficient kiln, capable of accommodating the needs of six ceramic classes, will fire the works produced by eight Art I and sculpture classes. But we can’t do it alone. We need your support to make this vision a reality. By contributing to our fundraiser, you will directly impact the educational experiences of our students, providing them with the tools they need to unleash their creativity and pursue their passions.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your generosity will directly fund the purchase of the new kiln and ensure that our students have access to state-of-the-art equipment.
2. Spread the Word: Share our fundraiser with your friends, family, and colleagues. Together, we can amplify our efforts and reach our goal more quickly.
By supporting our fundraiser, you invest in the next generation of artists, designers, and innovators who will shape our world. Thank you for your unwavering support of our students.
Warm regards,
Carey West, William Cauthern, Sara Massey, Natalie Pantuso, Jessica Garcia, Abby Burnham
