2023 – 2024 PTSA Scholarships

*All applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024.*
Applicants will be informed of award decisions May 2024.

Each year, the McCallum High School PTSA awards two $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors.

One $1000 (1) scholarship is awarded in the College/University category to a student who plans to attend either an in-state or out-of-state certificate program, trade school, or two-year or four-year college/university program immediately following graduation.

One $1000 (1) scholarship is awarded in the Life Skills category to a student to go toward furthering their education/skills training following
graduation.

Students submit their applications via a Google Form. It can be completed entirely online within the form. We recommend using a laptop or desktop rather than your mobile device. Once you submit your application and select which teachers you would like to provide recommendations for you, we will send them a form to fill out on your behalf.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Senior in the Graduating Class of 2023 – 2024
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Current McCallum PTSA member (student and/or student’s parent)

Scholarship Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on the following:

  1. Essay (300 words or less)
  2. Extracurricular Activities
  3. Community Service
  4. Honors/Recognitions/Awards
  5. Employment/Internships/Community-Based Instruction

Additionally, applicants are requested to provide the names of two teachers who will provide recommendations.

Payment of Award
Typically, scholarship awards are paid in single lump sum directly to the student’s chosen institution. Alternatively, a recipient may request that the award be paid out to the student directly by providing a qualifying invoice, bill, or receipt of payment and sending their request to scholarship@mccallumptsa.org.
