Senior Elementary Walks – May 18
The McCallum vertical team was so smart this year and aligned these all on the same day on May 18th at 8am (please arrive by 7:45am). This is a great photo opportunity and parents are encouraged to bring tissues and see your graduate’s school years come full circle. If your graduate did not attend one of McCallum’s feeder elementary schools, call their elementary school office and ask for the school’s graduation walk plans. Most elementary schools do this for their alumni and the elementary kids love it! We strongly encourage the kids to wear their caps and gowns because it makes the elementary kids really excited to see them in their regalia!
Baccalaureate Ceremony – May 21
The optional Senior Baccalaureate ceremony, May 21st at 2pm Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Dr, Austin, TX 78757. All families are welcome to attend this senior class tradition with class favorites Ms. Nix, Mr. Adame, and Sam Kanewske, offering words of wisdom to the graduates. The McCallum Choir and Orchestra will also perform. The service is family friendly, non-religious and one more of those “last times” to be with friends before graduation. The Class of 2024 hosts a reception for all, following the ceremony. Seniors line up in cap and gown for the procession at 1:40 in front of the reception hall – Look for your friends in blue!
Senior Breakfast – May 22
Seniors will be treated to a pre-finals breakfast on 5/22 in the McCallum library at 8am! Thank you to all of the parents who have signed up to bring breakfast items. We ask that donations be dropped off by 7:30 a.m. to allow for set up.
Knight Circus Senior Carnival – May 24
The cherry on top for these graduating seniors on May 24 at 1:30 p.m. at McCallum! Time for the class of 2023 to enjoy a last hoorah and fun with friends. This event will be a blast and only for seniors with carnival rides, circus performers, fair food, gift card giveaways, cash walk with cash winnings, and many large prizes like computers and tvs, plus a few surprises up our sleeves…make sure your senior attends and wears black and white to double their chances of winning the large prizes at the close of the event. In order to pull this off, we need lots of parent help. Please sign-up here for your favorite job and watch the senior fun unfold.
