Preparing for college does not have to be a stressful process that you navigate alone!
Although there are wonderful resources at McCallum and added support is not required to go to college, enlisting the help of an ethical, knowledgeable, and empathetic guide outside of school hours (when students may have more free time to work on college tasks) can help to decrease anxiety for both students and parents, and increase transparency in the college admissions process. As a former AISD college counselor of 19 years, Yvonne Espinoza, CEP, is very familiar with Mac’s academic profile as it relates to college admissions and has the pleasure of counseling Mac families every year. This is Yvonne’s 23rd year as a college counselor, and she also is involved in college admissions leadership on a national scale. For additional information about support for your student, please refer to her website below. Yvonne can begin working with students as early as the 9th grade and also supports students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
