MACares is a wonderful community funded group that supports our MAC students and the greater MAC community including all the elementary schools and middle schools that feed to us. MACares covers Emergency Financial Aid, including rent assistance, utility bills, food insecurity with HEB gift cards, organized holiday gifts, as well as covering AP Exam subsidies and much more. Last year, we were able to have an impact of over $15,000!
Brooke Ornelas will continue to be the point of contact with MACares this year. Though all applications for EFA are managed through the school counselors, Karen McGarity and Hannah Brodfuehrer.
