McCallum Students and Families;
McCallum students will be STAAR EOC testing in April and May. The STAAR EOC assessments measure students’ academic performance in core high school courses (Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, U.S. history). Students are required to take the STAAR EOC assessments for courses in which they’re enrolled as part of their graduation requirements.
The following are the dates that we will be testing STAAR EOCs at McCallum:
April 18 – Eng 1 and Eng 2
April 19 – Eng 1 and Eng 2 Make up testing
April 27 – Bio and USH
April 28 – Bio and USH Make up testing
May 3 – Alg 1
May 4 – Alg 1 Make up testing
On these dates, all students who are testing should bring:
- Charged chromebook
- Chromebook Charger
- Refillable water bottle
- Snacks
- Sack lunch (there will be some limited school sack lunches for those who need them)
- Wired headphones or wired earbuds (for students who have oral accommodations)
Students should make sure their Chromebook is up to date.
Students will begin testing at 9:05 and will be able to test until the end of the day (if needed.) Please make sure students have a good night’s sleep and that they eat a good breakfast before testing. Students should arrive at school on time and be ready to do their best.
