Do you know of an incoming 8th grader or a current Mac 9th-11th grade student who is looking to find their community at McCallum next year? Send them the free Friends & Family Performance on Wednesday, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Mac Gym. Not only will they be entertained by the award-winning McCallum colorguard’s Winterguard Season Show, they can also get some hands-on colorguard experience.
Colorguard is a part of the Mac Band (a top 10 5A marching band in Texas). Colorguard members receive a PE and fine arts credit. No prior experience is necessary.
Those interested in colorguard for the fall semester should also plan to attend auditions on both April 26 and 27 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Mac Cafeteria. They will have fun learning new skills and making new friends! Email jrudy@austinisd.org to get on the list for notifications.
